Air Force Defense Lawyer Says Bush Torture Tactics Went Beyond Waterboarding

A U.S. military officer assigned to defend a Guantanamo Bay detainee held as a terrorist said in an interview today that federal authorities used torture worse than waterboarding on her client.

Air Force Lt. Col. Yvonne Bradley, who represented Binyam Mohamed, told CNN that CIA interrogators used a razor blade-like device to cut into Mohamed's genitals during questioning.

She also said that Mohamed was "rendered" from Pakistan, where he was arrested, to Morocco for questioning.

The video is here:

If Lt. Col. Bradley's assertions are accurate, then it is obviously possible that the extent of interrogation techniques used by the Bush administration on detainees in the War on Terror went well beyond the use of waterboarding.

Bradley is an officer in the Air Force Reserve.
